About

Transition Catalysts of Huntsville is a proactive group of citizens working toward forming Transition Initiatives in Huntsville, Alabama. Our goal is to build a more resilient and local culture through community projects and networking, building a lower energy, more sustainable future.

To accomplish this we will:

• Provide information and tools for energy descent by organizing educational and re-skilling events.
• Grow and equip multiple Transition Initiatives in geographically diverse areas to focus on neighborhood-level improvements, beginning with local gatherings at the end of 2012.
• Form a Transition Hub to maintain connections among Initiatives and to work with local government to cultivate local economy, safety, and resilience.

We do this because we believe a more local, resilient Huntsville is better for the citizens, the nation, and the planet.
